E4D CAD/CAM System
Maintaining your smile health occasionally requires a dental restoration, such as a porcelain crown or bridge. Our Northridge dentist offers the most technologically advanced treatment solutions for patients who have suffered tooth decay, dental trauma or other damage that has resulted in the need for restorations. We use the E4D CAD/CAM system to make each step of the restoration process easier and more accurate.
The E4D CAD/CAM system brings the dental laboratory right to our office. In the past, if you needed a dental crown, your tooth would be prepared, and a temporary crown would be placed until the permanent crown could be made and bonded to the tooth. This process could require several appointments and leave you feeling self-conscious about the appearance of the temporary crown. Today, thanks to our revolutionary system, we can bypass the inconvenience and craft your restoration and place it during a single office visit. The E4D CAD/CAM system allows us to place porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays and many other restorations just as quickly and easily.
This system uses the most advanced dental technology available today. The computer monitor and hardware allow us to design and plan the restoration process. We will upload the necessary images into the computer and make any necessary adjustments to the color, shape and size of the tooth. Each surface of the tooth will be able to be viewed for more precise adjustments. Dimensions can even be altered to fit with adjacent teeth and perfect the final results. You may even be able to enjoy a preview of your final look. The software and milling unit then work together to create the actual restoration from composite resin or porcelain for a beautiful, metal-free solution. The process can usually be completed in a single dental appointment, which means that you will be ready to share your smile as soon as you leave our office.
The chair-side E4D CAD/CAM system allows us to provide you with the kind of dental care you need to get back to business faster than ever before. Contact us today to learn more or to schedule your consultation.
